Kyle Thumar, a co-founder of SJ Boys Read!, is a freshman in college and now sits on SJ Boys Read!’s Board of Directors. Through this group, Kyle hopes to encourage other guys to develop a passion for reading as strong as his own. His favorite genres are sports fiction and biographies, however he enjoys reading nearly any book. Beyond reading, Kyle’s hobbies include playing and watching sports. His favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Cameron P is a high school student, and one of the co-founders of SJ Boys Read. He has led the group since its inception in the summer of 2008 and he loves to read books of all genres, while encouraging not only boys but all people to read as well. When not reading, Cameron plays basketball and baseball and roots for all Philadelphia sports teams.
Nikhil Thumar is a co-founder of SJ Boys Read!. He has been interested in reading from a very young age. He loved the Harry Potter, Redwall and Fablehaven series, and Mike Lupica books. SJ Boys Read! has provided him with the opportunity to share his love of reading with as many boys as possible. In addition to running events, Nikhil managed the initial website during the early years of the organization. He also enjoys music, golf, football and basketball. His favorite sports teams are the New York Giants and Boston Celtics.
Shailen Doshi is a a Junior at Cornell University, Majoring in Policy Managment and Analysis. He was one of the leaders of SJ Boys Read!. He has been a participant since 2008 and since 2011 was a Lead Organizer with SJ Boys Read! He enjoys reading books of all kinds especially science fiction as well as playing basketball and baseball. He is a sports fan, his favorite teams are the Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles. He hopes to develop a love for reading in the young boys and girls of our community.
Vishal Doshi is a high school student who has been apart of SJ Boys Read since 2008. He joined this great book club first as a participant and now is emerging as a leader. He has enjoyed every moment of it. He enjoys reading and working with kids. Sports, mystery, and comedy genres are his favorites. Along with reading Vishal enjoys sports, writing, and traveling.
Nico’s presence in the organization runs far and deep, he helped further develop of the website, and empower a brand new generation of boys to live a life filled with literature. Nico has always been a voracious reader, and his favorite authors include Rick Riordan, Jon Sczieksa and John Flanagan. His interests include baseball, football, basketball, and theater.
Naveen is currently a student at Moorestown High School. When he was younger, Naveen attended SJ Boys Read programs, and as a result became an avid reader of all genres. Now it is his chance to help younger boys just like himself gain an interest in books too! In addition to reading books in his free time, Naveen has many other hobbies. He loves debating in the after school debate clubs, using his GoPro to make movies, and is hoping to play for the boys tennis team in the upcoming Spring.

Ajay Shah is a 7th grade student at William Allen Middle School. Ajay remembers participating in the Boys Read sessions when he was younger and is happy to be sharing his love of reading with the younger boys. He enjoys reading Mystery and Fictional novels and anything that has a sports theme! His hobbies include playing video games, Football and Basketball.
Connor Megill is a high school student who participated in the South Jersey Boys Read program when he was younger. Through this organization, Connor hopes to encourage boys to develop a lifelong love of reading. His favorite book genres are fantasy and horror. His hobbies include reading, robotics, golf, and playing the guitar.

Lucas Megill is a middle school student. Not only is he a major reading enthusiast, but he also once participated in South Jersey Boys Read himself. He enjoys golf, football, theater, singing, and much more. His favorite genre of book is realistic fiction. He hopes that this organization can help more boys enjoy reading!
